Maizuru Mayor Mitsuoki Emori. We hope and pray that this circle will expand into the hearts of as many people as possible. It was built as a repatriation town for 13 years, from 1945 to 1958, as a symbol of peace and as a reminder of the people who fulfilled their mission to the end, as well as a permanent reminder of the tragedy of war.
